My name is Michela and I am a certified holistic health and wellness coach, healthy chef and food & lifestyle blogger.
I am very passionate about food, especially green food!Michela Gatto
My passion is so strong that I find myself dreaming about vegetables and healthy recipes all day long! So, what do you do when you have such a deep passion for something? It’s simple: You share it with everybody!
And that’s how “Green Candy” was born.

Why “Green Candy”?

Green because I love vegetables and everything that comes from Mother Nature. Candy because I will make you love vegetables and healthy eating as much as you love treats.

What If I tell you that by moving to a more plant-based diet you will discover the healthiest of you?

Vegetables are such an important part of our daily diet, however, we often opt for more “tasty” dishes that do not include enough greens or nutrients.

Did you know that individuals on a plant-based diet usually consume less protein than their meat-based counterparts and as a result they have a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Many Americans on standard diets consume approximately 112 grams of protein per day, which is much more protein than the recommended amount of approximately 50 grams per day for the average sedentary person. With a plant-based diet, consuming the recommended amount of protein is easily attainable through nuts, seeds, grains, and dark green leafy vegetables and you will feel better doing it.
A plant-based diet does not mean that you have to become a vegetarian or vegan! It just means that you should try to select most of your foods from plant sources. In fact, a meal in a plant-based diet typically consists of two-thirds plant foods and one-third fish, poultry, meat, and/or dairy.

Vegetables can be as delicious as sweets.

I started Green Candy because I wanted to share my experience, knowledge and passion for healthy living with others. I want to show people that good food choices can be visually appealing, taste great and be incredibly satisfying. I also want to influence parents to be better eaters so that they can be healthy eating role models for their children. The food choices we make play an important role in how we feel and how we develop as individuals and I want you to be at your very best!

I cannot wait to share all my favorite tips with you and show you how to cook and enjoy delicious tasty vegetables in a very simple way!

Step out from your comfort zone and let’s walk together on this new journey. You will never look at vegetables and your health the same way.
Looking forward to a new healthy you.
